Mr. Arthur William "Bill" Chandler, age 79, of Hoschton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 after many years of serious illness.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2014 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with inurnment following at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Avenue SW, Marietta at 2:00 p.m. Father Eric Hill will officiate.
Mr. Chandler was born November 11, 1934 to the late Arthur Wellington & Frances Kiene Chandler in Savannah, a graduate of The University of Georgia and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He had Alzheimer's for the past few years, following years of illness due to spinal cord and back injuries. Village at Deaton Creek has been a wonderful home for him the past six years as Bill still had the capacity to develop friendships, walk his dog, Cinnamon, read and enjoy other activities. Prior to being ill, Bill was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Ellman's Service Merchandise in Atlanta, Georgia.
Survivors include: wife of 47 years, Virginia Chandler of Hoschton; daughters & sons-in-law, Kathy & Ken Hand of Cumming, Susan & Marty Patterson of Cumming and Karin & Eddie Brown of Tifton; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother & sister in law, Dennis & Sally Chandler of Savannah; and several nieces & nephews. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Vanessa Chandler.
