Arthur W. Ford, age 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 14, at May Cemetery in May, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 13, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Ave., Brownwood. Arthur was born on August 6, 1924, in May, Texas to Anson R. and Bell Jones Ford and lived in Brown County his entire life.
Arthur proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He retired after over 20 years from Ross Porta where he worked as a welder. He enjoyed gardening and loved to "tinker" in his shop.
Arthur is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Sunday, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Gail L. Bonser and husband, James, of Bangs; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
