Avenell V. Adams, 91, of Clearfield, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on February 13, 1920, in Clearfield, the daughter of Blaine and Florence (Hines) Fleming.
Avenell was a homemaker.
She is a member of the West Side United Methodist Church.
Avenell is survived by her husband, Ellery W. Adams, of Clearfield, four children: Virginia Mooney and her husband Patrick of DuBois, Robert Adams and his wife Gail, of Clearfield, Jack Adams and his wife Carol, of Poughkeepsie, NY, Judith Adams, of Penfield; five grandchildren: Bridget Bryan and her husband, David, Jennifer Weniger and her husband, Fred, Renee Wallace and her husband, James , Charles Adams and his wife Donna, Elaine Krakower; and ten great grandchildren, a brother Donald Fleming of Cherry Tree and a sister, Elizabeth of Minneapolis, MN. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers; Francis, Bob, Jim Fleming.
Funeral services will be held at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Interment will be held in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the services.
