Avery J. Boyle, 84, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at his home. He was born April 26, 1928, in Owensboro, KY to the late Avery E. and Margaret (McAtee) Boyle.
He was a US Army Veteran, retired from Mike's Towing and worked at Mets for 11 years. He enjoyed hunting, Sprint Cars and watching westerns.
Avery was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons; and one brother.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Harper) Boyle of Evansville; sons, AJ (Mary Lee) of Missouri, Roger (GayAnn) of Owensboro and Jeff (Christine) Boyle of Evansville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Chaplain Garry Lanham, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hospice for the loving care they gave to Avery, and also their neighbors, Larry and Gloria Shane.
