Barbara A. Anania, 69, Moline, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at home with her loving husband and daughters at her side. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Davenport. Visitation will be from 2-5 PM Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Runge Mortuary. Barbara was born on November 8, 1940 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Frank and Mary Ercole. She was united in marriage to Saverio Anania on June 1, 1963 in Pittsburgh.
Barbara was a very loving woman who cared deeply about others. She loved spending time with her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and loved to read.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband of 46 years, Saverio, Moline; daughters, Dr. Tina (Dr. Aric) Eckhardt, Coal Valley, IL and Mary Beth (Steven) Mayer, Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Brandon (11), Giavanna (9), Andrew (8), and Courtney (5); and four brothers-in-law, Joseph (Lucille) Anania, Frank (Emme) Anania, Salvatore (Sandy) Anania, and Edward D'Amico, all of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Geraldine D'Amico; and brother, Frank Ercole, Jr.
