BARBARA J. (GREENWELL) ASH, 55 years of age, died Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Hosparus In-Patient Unit at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. The daughter of the late Joseph F. and Linda Sue (Reber) Greenwell, Barbara was born April 2, 1956 in New Albany. She was a 29 year employee of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in Louisville.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Morrison and her husband, Chris, of New Albany; son, Erick Ash of New Albany; step-father, Owen Kane of New Albany; sisters, Peggy Koetter and her husband, Ray, of Starlight, Indiana, and Lesia Daniel and her husband, Mike, of New Albany; bonus-sister, Kate Amara of Louisville; grandchildren, Emilee Ash and Jenna and Drew Morrison; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 PM ~ 8 PM Monday, June 6, 2011 and after 9 AM Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, New Albany.
Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
