Barbara Francis Clark passed away with her son at her side, at Mayers Memorial Hospital's Burney Annex. She was 74.
Barbara was born in Paterson, New Jersey. She moved to California in her late teens, where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Bill Clark. They had two sons, George and Michael.
Barbara worked as an assistant manager at Hughes Printing in Burney. In later years she worked as a home health aide. After retirement she continued to help people by volunteering as a senior companion.
Barbara always cared about people. She made it a point to remember a person's name and something about that person or their family. She cared about her family, her friends, her community and her country. She always thought it was important to buy locally, to help support her community.
Barbara is survived by her son, Michael Clark, her daughter-in-law Sherri Clark, her granddaughter Jennifer Clark, her step-son Billy Clark (wife Kathleen), and her cousins Charles Hughes and Marilyn Sanborn (husband Eric), Marilyn's children Rick Ashe and Stacy Schneider. She was preceded in death by her son George Clark and former husband Bill Clark.
A memorial service will be held at the Lions Club Park (Whale Park), May 31, 2011 at 2:00 P.M.
