Barbara M. (Gagnon) Connors, age 89, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late John Connors.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Florence (Sylvia) Gagnon, she had been a lifelong area resident.
She worked as a sewing machine operator in various area mills for 40 years before retiring in 1985 and enjoyed dancing.
She is survived by one daughter; Kathleen Medeiros of Fall River, two sisters; Pearl Siems of Naples, FL, Pauline Lapre and her husband Walter of Somerset, three grandchildren; Lori Ann Medeiros of Somerset, Michael Medeiros of Providence, Melissa Medeiros of Fall River, two great-grandchildren; Aiden and Abigail Medeiros and several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Richard Connors.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 8:30AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St. Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave. Somerset. Visiting hours prior to her Mass from 8:30 to 9:30AM in the Funeral Home. Contributions in her honor may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset.
