Todd was a very respected and dedicated member of the Shreveport Fire Department for 30 years. He spent 12 of those years as the EMS supervisor, and in January of 2013, he reached the rank of Battalion Chief. Many commendations were awarded to him for his professional and caring dedication to his community. He also worked in the Emergency Room at Willis-Knighton South for 28 years as a paramedic and a scribe. He was a very loved and admired member of their staff. Todd was also one of the original crew members on Air Rescue from 1990 to 1993, as a flight paramedic.
In every aspect of his life, Todd was dedicated to solely serving his community and helping others. He had such a heart for serving the Lord, and this was a way he could manifest this desire. An untold number of lives were saved in this community due to his talents, professionalism and dedication. Our community had within its midst a true hero watching over it.
In addition to his job dedication, Todd loved hunting and spending time outdoors. It was his favorite way to unwind and spend time with the Lord and his friends. It was a great passion for him and made him happy. However, Todd was never happier than when he was spending time with his family. His wife, children and grandchildren were the true joy of his life here on earth and he made sure they all knew. He was a truly devoted family man. Todd would want everyone to know that he loved the Lord and tried daily to show this love in the life he led.
