SLONE, Bayless, age 85 of Xenia, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Culton and Mauda Slone and brothers, Leon, Demra and Merle. He is suvived by the love of his life, Chelsea Slone; children, Kip (Teresa) Slone, Drenda (Larry) Strong, David (Myra) Slone, Karen (Gary) Poulos; siblings, Avenelle Blackburn, Dr. Clinard (Becki) Slone, Vernon (Thelma) Slone, Anita (Lynn) Berry, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and close family friend Carol Ward. Bayless served in the United States Navy during WW II and in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from NCR after 29 years and also retired from General Motors. The family will receive family and friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME –BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Curtis Johnson officiating. Interment in Valley View Memorial Gardens will follow.
