Belinda C. "Bella" (Merola) Flanagan, age 105, of Somerset passed a Monday, October 8, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Flanagan.
Mrs. Flanagan was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Domenico and Genoveffa (Mollo) Merola, and has been a resident of Somerset for 58 years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her three children; Joseph R. Flanagan, Jr., of Somerset, Randall T. Flanagan and his wife Kathleen of Westport and Theresa M. Haley of Fall River; three grandchildren; Scott T. Flanagan, Jason Haley and Nina Haley; three great-grandchildren; Cameron Hasenfus and Riley and Lexi Bella Flanagan and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Flanagan was also the sister of the late Florence Steel, Mary Sperduti, Helen Patota, Hilda McGraw, and Alice, Renaldo, Charles, Carolyn, and Ermine Merola.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 9am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St., Somerset followed by her funeral mass at 10am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Southcoast VNA, 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset.
