Benedetta Bartolotti, longtime resident of Congers, passed away in her home on November 10, 2012 surrounded by her family. Daughter of Guisseppe and Caterina Bartolotti. Benedetta was born in Maida, Italy on July 10, 1939. She immigrated to New York and made it her home where she worked as a tailor. She was predeceased by her sisters: Sister Caterina Bartolotti and Frances Colistra.
She is survived by her sister Nina Bartolotti, brother Michael Bartolotti (Carol). Cherished and known as Zia Bebe to her nieces and nephews: Maria (Gerry), Anthony (Sally), Kevin (Angela), Maria, Max (Patty), Catherine (John), Elizabeth (Eddie) and Joseph. She was predeceased by her niece and Goddaughter, Michelle. She was blessed with 4 grandnieces and 7 grand nephews.
She was an active member of St. Paul's Parish in Congers where she led the St. Paul's Fellowship of Hope Prayer Group. She was a Eucharist minister. Family will receive visitors on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday at 10am at St. Paul's Church, Congers. Interment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
