Bernadine M. Allen, born Feb. 23, 1918, in Peoria, Ill., passed away on March 27, 2012. She was a resident of Thousand Oaks for 38 years.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Chester Gill and Lloyd Allen; daughter, Mary; and granddaughter, Christina.
Bernadine is survived by two sons, Donald Gill and Robert Gill; stepdaughters, Diane Allen and Suzette Niles; a nephew; two nieces; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Her hobbies and talents were painting, ceramics, needlepoint, sewing and gardening, all of which were beautifully done.
A memorial service will be held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park in Westlake Village at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3.
In lieu of flowers, Bernadine requested a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
