Funeral service for Bernice F. Allen, 92, of Killeen will be on Wednesday at 12 Noon at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Skip Blancett officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen. Mrs. Allen passed away on July 14, 2011 in College Station, Texas.
She was born April 18, 1919 in San Antonio, Texas to Duncan and Ida Moulder. She met and married Charles D. Allen, Sr. in 1947 at Kelly Field, Texas. She was employed by Montgomery Wards as a teletype operator for more than 20 years. She was member of the American Business Woman's Association, she was selected the Woman of the Year in 1993. She was also very active in the All Star Senior Bowling League.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son Charles D. Allen, Jr. Survivors include a son Martin Allen and wife Marcy of Harker Heights, four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 am-12 Noon at the funeral home.
