Berthold J. Bednarz Jr., 78, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2010. He was born in Poth, Texas on February 27, 1932 to Berthold J. and Mary Lee Dlugosh Bednarz Sr. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael and a brother, Eugene Bednarz. Mr. Bednarz was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Anthony Mary Claret, the Men's Club and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Martha Ann Bednarz; children, Nancy Otto and husband Greg, Patsy Hilbig and husband Douglas, Thomas Bednarz and wife Janet; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Bednarz; sister, Joyce Royce and numerous nieces and nephews. The vigil service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church, 6150 Roft Rd. 78253. The funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the church. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
