She came into this world on February 28,1939 and went to be with our Heavenly Father on May 4, 2011. Betty will be forever remembered by her husband of 33 yrs Robert, her dogs Candi and Petey; daughters, Kimala Sawyers and Jo Ault (Larry); grandchildren, Mark (Samantha), Anmber (Trina), Mikey (Monica), Samantha, Michelle and Johnny; brother, Arch Ackart (Bev); sister, Carol Reed (Jerry); nieces, Julie and Shelly,and her nephew Jon; four great-grandchildren and numerous familyand friends. She is also survived by her dear friend Norma (Jerry).
Growing up on the beaches of Ventura, CA gave her a great Love of the Ocean. Betty was a co-driver of 18-wheeler truck with her husband for 12 years. Where she was able to visit 48 states and share their great adventures with her family. Betty was always excited when a family gathering was going to happen. Family was everything to her. She loved being a Mother and a Grandmother. She was a member of the LDS Church for many years and also a member of Eastern Star.
Betty is deeply loved and will be missed by the lives she has touched. Her love of life and family will never be forgotten.
Celebration of Life will be held at Mish Funeral Home Chapel, 120 Miner Ave, Oildale, on Saturday May 14, at 12 noon. There will be a luncheon held after the service.
Arrangements under the direction of Mish Funeral Home, Bakersfield, CA.
