Betty J. Akins, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 24, 1929. She is survived by her son Johnny Coker and wife Debbi, daughter Patty Boyers and husband Johnny; grandchildren, Jenny Owen and husband Chris, Chris Edward Akins Jr. and wife Lori, Andrea, Kathrine and Nathan Akins, Brett Boyers and Chloe Coker.
