Betty Ann (Steffen) Paul passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, December 12 2012, at lutheran Life Villages of Fort Wayne, IN, in the care of her loving husband Robert. Betty was born in Hopkins Minnesota on September 11, 1928 to William and Irene (Timm) Steffen. On June 4, 1950 she was united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church, Winfield, Kansas, to Robert J Paul who survives her. Of that marriage were born John who has preceded her in death, Jane, (Rev. David) Boedecker and Joanne (Rev. Wendy Van der Hart). Also surviving her are daughter-in-law, Margaret Franson, and 2 grandaughters, Emily Boedecker and Sara (Kelley) Johnston-Boedecker. Betty was a teacher by profession and an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Fort Wayne. Visitation with family present will be Sunday, December 16, from 6 pm-8pm at the Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, 420 W. Wayne St.Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd. on Monday, December 17 at 10 AM, with visitation one hour prior at church.. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
