Bill Joe Atkins, 82 died Saturday, December 29, 2012. He was born October 1, 1930 to the late Hoyte and Myrtle Starnes Atkins.
Bill is survived by three children, Billy Joe Atkins, Max Ray Atkins and Karen Denise Moody all of Gastonia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddie Junior Atkins and Douglas Leon Atkins.
He was preceded in death by three children, Timothy Lee Atkins, Grace "Diane" Harrell and Mickey Wayne Atkins and siblings, Donald Atkins, Lena Hartman, Maxine Atkins and Betty Atkins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 31 at Dallas Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
