Whenever Bill came to my office door I knew I was in for a good story and maybe a joke, and a piece of wisdom. Bill was a precious jewel in the Spring Creek Church Congregation. He was loved and will be fondly remembered by many. Former Pastor SCC

Duane & Debra Phillips

Bill's many contributions to Spring Creek United Church of Christ in Rockford will never be forgotten, from his tenure as pastor to the many years post-retirement when he was an active member. Duane and I treasure so many memories of his warmth, his rich singing voice, and his reconciling, caring, and inclusive nature. He strengthened our faith by the example of his life. We were truly blessed to count him as a friend and spiritual leader, and there must be great celebration in Heaven today as he is welcomed home.

My great uncle bill. I have such fond memories of u, from my childhood. You, aunt Jane, and I singing while she played piano. You were the only one who always fought to make sure I remembered my worth. Im sorry we lost touch later in life, but I know if anyone made it to heaven, it was you. I love you.

Uncle Bill, you and Aunt Jane were there for me for so many years. After Dad died, you helped me learn to drive. You brought me to Rockford and let me stay with your family until Mom could arrive. You were an inspiration when my youthful skepticism questioned my faith and your strong and quiet love of our Lord brought me back to Him. You gave me strength and hope through many challenges of life. You and Jane were both very much loved. I am so glad that Pam had the opportunity to get to know you.

I first met Bill & Jane at the Little White Church--Spider Lake--where Bill directed a summer choir. I enjoyed their presence and leadership in the church very much. And then after Jane's passing to welcome Bill and new wife back to Hayward and attendance at the Hayward UMC in town. I always enjoyed Bill's spirit and supportive presence.
