George Dayton (Bill) Broick , Sr., 82, of Chattanooga died on Thursday, April 5 , 2012. He was born in Hazel Park, Michigan and had lived in Chattanooga for 56 years.
Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Knights of Phythias, Crescent Lodge #169, having served as Grand Chancellor for the State of Tennessee in 1994-95.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marguerite Broick, a sister, Gloria Sebastian; and his beloved dog, Mitzi.
Bill is survived by his wife, Mary Duff Broick; his first wife, Charlotte Brock, the mother of his four children; Timmy (Sandy) Broick of Michigan, Linda (Kenneth) Ray, Terry (Kathy) Broick, Cindy (Johnny) Cross; seven grandchildren, Michelle Broick, David (Kathy) Broick, Steve (Sara) Broick, Brittney (Terry) Longwith, Derek (Kelli) Ray, Maranda (Andrew) Reffner and Jacob Cross; nine great grandchildren; sister, Margie (George) Baker of Florida and a brother, Rodger (Janice) Broick of Michigan.
The family will receive friends from 4until 8 pm Monday at the East Brainerd Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Tuesday at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
