Billie J. Beene, 80 of Bokoshe, OK passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 in Fort Smith. She was born April 2, 1931 in Gadsden, AL to the late Sam Head and Rosa Boozer Head. She was member of the Poteau Valley Baptist Church and retired verifier for Weldon, Williams, and Lick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Ronald Beene her brothers: Otho Jackson, Jimmy Head, Orville Head, Jerry Head and Mitchell Head.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 26th at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband Harvey of the home; two daughters Sherry Boydston and Trina Boerner both of Fort Smith, three sisters Daphne Moore of Fort Smith, Laura Pryor and Rita Cusick both of Arkoma, OK as well as five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ellie Boydston, Jr., Greg Boerner, Shane Boydston, Nicholas Boerner, Shannon Harper, and Eric Cusick.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, September 25th at the funeral home.
