To the 'Allen Boys' and families-
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Bill. My mother was Helen June, who spoke so very fondly of her treasured friendship with all of you. Your visits last year meant more to her and my father than you know, which in turn meant a lot to us. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.

Dora, here's hoping that you recover from your loss of Billy. So sorry that I didn't learn about Bill's passing until last night. I was just talking to Clem the other day about all the stuff they (and we) did together. He is missed by so many friends and hams here!
Billy was the second ham I met so many years ago. He and Clem were teaching the ham classes and I came in several weeks late but so excited to be among so many talented men, women, and even children. He was very patient with me since I had a million questions both during and after the remaining classes. I passed my VE test the first time--thanks to Billy and Clem!
My heart goes out to you Dora.

Some of my earliest memories include Bill at Fuller's (WP Fuller back then). The last time I saw him was at my Dad's funeral. I know my dad thought the world of him. I'm sure they're somewhere talking paint right about now. My condolences to you all.

Dora, our condolences from all of my family and I. We can't possibly understand your grief and the loss you have suffered losing Billy.
I feel very privileged to have met Bill and been his friend for all of these years. We came from very different environments but we shared many similar ideas about life family, hobbies and work ethics.
He was never bashful about sharing his opinions and ideas on any subject we might be discussing at the moment. We could agree or disagree but never had a cross moment, instead it would turn into a friendly exchange between good friends.
There are so any things I could speak to, but then there would be no space left for any one else. So let me just say, a better friend no one could ever have, I miss him dearly.
73, OM

My family has known the Allens for a long time. I went to school with Barbara, and I was also their "paperboy" for many years. Billy and my dad were truly best friends, and you couldn't have met a nicer person than Billy. My deepest condolences to Dora.
