Bonnie Lee Kemp Caldwell, 82, of New Bloomfield passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 4, 2012. She was born September 7, 1929 in Jefferson City, the daughter of Marvin and Birdie (Branch) Kemp.
She was united in marriage to Bill Caldwell on September 14, 1947 in New Bloomfield. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1985.
Bonnie was a life-long Callawegian, living in the same house her entire married life. She worked at International Shoe Factory, Oberman Pant Factory, Milo H. Walz, as a security guard at A.P. Green, sold Cort Costmetics, and worked at numerous day cares throughout the years. She and Bill operated Blunt Feed Store in 1952 and 1953. Bonnie considered herself a jack-of-all-trades. She enjoyed many parties and picnics with her family and friends. She was known as a wonderful homemaker and caretaker. She loved gardening and canning. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
She raised three sons who survive her passing, Keith Caldwell and wife Cheryl of Jefferson City, Don Caldwell and wife Rebecca of New Bloomfield, and Ron Caldwell and companion Carol Long of New Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Sarah Caldwell-Crocker, Catherine Caldwell, Billy Caldwell, Katie Caldwell, Lane Caldwell, Michael Mattson, and Brittany Long; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with Pastor Frank Whitney officiating. Interment will follow at Bull Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
