Bruce O. Brown, 79, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2013 in his home in Everett, WA. He was born on May 4, 1934 in Tacoma WA to Lewis and Irene Brown.
Bruce was stationed with Co B 505th in Fort Lewis where he proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He had many hobbies but his two favorite were woodworking and tending to his beautiful flower garden. Although he loved working around the house he also loved caravanning with friends, exploring the northwest with his family, or taking an occasional cruise with his wife i.e., Alaska, Panama Canal. Their most recent trip was a leisurely train ride through Canada to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. He loved to dance and they belonged to square dance, round dance and ballroom dance clubs throughout the years.
His family describes him as a loving, devoted and nonjudgmental man with an uncanny sense of humor who never complained about much. His friends describe him as being loyal, a gifted craftsman who was both resilient and steadfast. Bruce is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen Brown; son, Dr. Kirk Brown (Danette) of Wilmington, NC; son, Keith Brown (Lisa) of Hillsboro, OR; daughter, Arlene Brown of Everett, WA; sister, Myrna Eaton of Mercer Island, WA.
