William B. Rhoden, age 55, (affectionately known as Jaybird) passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012. Bruce was born January 12, 1957 in Jacksonville, Florida to Billy and Lennie Rhoden. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Rhoden, a brother, Eddie Rhoden and a great nephew, Luke Burnsed. Survivors include his loving mother, Lennie Rhoden, a brother David Rhoden (Jackie), a sister Karen Carter (Joe), a sister Vicky Lorick (Harold), 11 nieces and nephews as well as 20 great nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed and was truly loved by all who knew him. Family will receive family and friends on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral services will follow visitation at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Interment will follow services in Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
