C.H. (Mac) McCormack, age 93, a 15 year resident of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on Friday February 15, 2013. He was born in Redfield, South Dakota on January 15, 1920 to parents Elliott Hartford McCormack and Inger Dorthea (Stapp) McCormack. C.H. served in World War II in the Pacific Theater in the 41st Infantry Division. They called themselves "The Jungleers." C.H. married Virginia Rothgeb in 1946 and they were happily married for 67 years.
During his civilian life he traveled all over the world while serving as a financial advisor. C.H. was a lifelong member of the VFW and MOWW (Military Order of World Wars).He was a kind and loving man to his family and friends all of whom meant everything to him.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Rothgeb McCormack, of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Patricia Seybold of Georgetown, Texas; two grandchildren, Virginia Seybold and John McCormack Seybold both of Austin, Texas; sister, Corinne Underwood of Kansas City, Missouri; five nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 23rd of February 2013, in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown.
