Charles F. Watkins (Chuck) 83 Gladstone, MO passed away 11 Feb. 2013 at NorthCare Hospice. Visitation 10:00 am followed by service at 11:00 am Friday, February 15th at Antioch Community Church, 4805 N.E. Antioch Road K.C., MO 64119. Burial services will follow at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, NorthCare Hospice or Antioch Community Church. Charles was born January 5, 1930 in Franklin County, Arkansas. He was married to Shirley Watkins for 23 years. He retired from Kansas City Fire Department after 22 years of service and retired from Hankins Roofing after 36 years. He serviced in the Navy from 1947-1950. He was a member of Ararat Shrine Temple, Temple Gate Masonic Lodge #299, Alpha O.E.S. #507, Roofers Local #20 and a retired Member of Local 42 KCFD. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie & William Watkins, brothers, Kenneth and Ron Watkins and stepson, Andrew Wright. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; Daughters, Donnetta Henderson (Jim) and Brenda Lamming (KC); Sisters, Maxine Neifert and Billie Jo Eagle; Grandson, Levi; 2 step children, many step Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Uncle Charles, you will be sadly missed.....many fond memories of you....from asking my girls "how are you boys doing".....to all the great jokes you shared with us all as far back as I can remember.....always an ornery glint in your eye. Heaven just got a little lighter.
