Mr. Calvin Wayne Bagley, age 64, of N. 5th Ave., Rome passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Bagley was born on September 12, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia, son of the late Calvin Bagley and Juanita Beulah Dickerson Bagley. He grew up in Atlanta in the exciting time of car racing and boot-legging. As a teenager his love for racing and working as a mechanic started while working in his father's Auto repair shop and lead to a continued affair of working on cars and motorcycles. For 47 years Mr. Bagley lived and loved with his family in the Atlanta area. He was became a resident of Rome in 1996. Mr. Bagley is remembered as a man who loved life, his children, and grandchildren, being outside and having fun.
Survivors include a son, Scott Wayne Bagley of Rome; a daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Todd Godfrey of Land O Lakes, FL; four grandchildren, Brandy Godfrey, Carrie Godfrey, Timothy Godfrey and Gracie Scott Bagley. A special cousin also survives, Gail Goolesby of Smyrna, GA.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in North Rome Church of God with Rev. Harold Jones officiating.
