Services for Rev. Carl Curtis will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Lin Chesney officiating. Rev. Malcom Lewis and Rev. Danny Young will assist with the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.
Rev. Curtis, 85, of Little Rock, passed away Thursday, October 6 at his residence. He was a retired pastor.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Moore Curtis, daughters, Marie McMahan and her husband, Charles "Red" of Little Rock, Teresa "Tennie" Singleton and her husband A. Dewitt of Little Rock , and son Carl Curtis Jr. also of Little Rock. He is also survived by grandchildren, Chett McMahan and wife Stella, Casey Robinson and husband Josh, Tracy McMahan, Heath Mathis and wife Tish, Brach Singleton, Natasha Clark and husband Aaron, Tomekia Curtis and 18 great grandchildren.
Rev. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Lydia Curtis, three brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Danny Moore, David Rush, John Rush, Kenneth Moore, Roger Moore and Burlon Russell.
Stephens Funeral Home in Union is in charge of arrangements.
