Carol Adams

October 23, 1922 - July 1, 2011
Adams, Carol (nee Bulger) fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, of Webster Groves died Friday, July 1 at the age of 88. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 63 years, James L. Adams, five children, Jim (Sue) Adams, Cate (Ron) Adams, Betsy Naeger, Barb (Chuck) Mittler, Tom Adams, eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; dear aunt and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, William and Robert Bulger and her dear son-in-law Leonard Naeger.

Carol was born in Wilmington, Delaware where she learned to love the sea, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay as a Girl Scout Mariner. In 1944 she fulfilled her dream and enlisted as a WAVE in the Navy, serving as the Captain's Yeoman at the Anti-Submarine Detachment for the US Atlantic Fleet in Key West, Florida.
