Carol L. Anderson, 69, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in her residence.
She was a native of Titusville, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Sulphur since the early 1950's. Carol loved the outdoors and being an animal lover, she adopted many animals over the years. She retired after over 20 years of service from the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a Homebound Teacher.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Chappell, and David Chappell and wife, Cindy of Sulphur, and Blake Braught and wife, Melissa of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Rick Anderson of Sulphur; and ten grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Mel Estess will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
