Carol (Cooper) Barry, 77, of Marblehead, passed away at Salem Hospital on May 30, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Philip J. Barry with whom she shared 35 years of marriage. Born in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Wilber F. and Elizabeth (Glover) Cooper.
Raised and Educated in Marblehead, Carol was a graduate of Marblehead High School. She was employed at New England Telephone for many years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Most of all, Carol loved to travel which she enjoyed throughout her life.
In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by many cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Friday, June 3 at 11AM. Burial to follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visitation will begin at 9:30AM. Donations may be made in her memory to the Marblehead Animal Shelter, 44 Village Street, Marblehead, MA 01945.
