Carol K. Beard, 70, of Connersville, died Friday morning, October 21, 2011, at Heritage House of Connersville.
Carol was born October 19, 1941 in Connersville to Harry and June A. Rudd Jones. Most recently, she had been employed as a dietician at Heritage House of Connersville for 14 years. She and her first husband, Kenneth Throop, had owned and operated the Lamplight Café. Carol had also been employed at Mace's Grocery for several years. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, cooking and cleaning and was an avid Elvis and Tony Stewart fan. Carol was a former member of the Moose, VFW, American Legion and 40 et 8.
Carol is survived by three children: Ricky J. Throop of New Castle, Debbie J. Casey of Connersville and Bradley J, Throop of Greensburg; a sister: Penny Thomas of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren: Kelly Logan and her husband, Mike of New Castle, Lloyd Throop, Erin Throop, both of Hurley, Mississippi, Zackary M Casey of Connersville, Kenneth Bradford Throop of Batesville, Alisha Sams and her husband, Adam of Oldenburg; five great-grandchildren; a nephew: William Reeve and his wife, Melissa of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister-in-law: Patsy Roberts of Connersville.
In addition to her parents and first husband, Carol was preceded in death by her second husband, Harold A Beard who died December 8, 1993.
Memorial services will be conducted at the convenience of the family following cremation. There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
