Carole Harding Appleget, 70, of East Ridge passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at her home after a short illness. She was a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church, the Kingsbury Sunday School Class and Circle 5. She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1959. Carole worked for Dixie Yarns and for The Chattanooga Glass Company.
She was preceeded in death by her sister, Barbara Newman and her parents, O.H. and Callie Harris Harding.
Survivors include her husband, David Appleget; one son, Daniel (Donna) Appleget of Hixson, TN; step-granddaughter, Julie Hawk of Hixson, TN; two sisters, Rita Epps of Claremore, Oklahoma and Alice Taylor of Chesterfield, Michigan; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Saturday at Brainerd United Methodist Church. Burial will be at 12:30 PM Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to Brainerd United Methodist Church building fund.
