CARRIE JUANITA WHEELER, 81, of Alta Loma, died July 7, 2014 at home in Rancho Cucamonga. She was born on September 9, 1932 in Halstead, Kansas and lived in Alta Loma for 43 years.
She worked as a registered nurse for 44 years. Her profession as a registered nurse was not only her profession but her passion. She loved helping and caring for everyone. She lived her life for her three daughters always providing for them physically and emotionally. She was a collector of swans, sun-flowers, and road-runners. Her interests were trips to Las Vegas, Laughlin, and Germany. She loved gardening, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, doing crossword puzzles, reading, attending ice skating events, walking several miles a day, shopping and eating Carls Jr. spicy chicken sandwiches and Reese's peanut butter cups.
She is survived by her daughters Sheryl Basco (Dave), Sharlene Weston (Ed), Shelli Franklin (fiancé Steve Johanson), sister Doris Greeson (Rocky), brothers Loel Brandenberger (Beverly) and Don Koehn (Peg), grandchildren Diana Davis (Steve), Richard Holland (Liz), Brandon Franklin, Brett Franklin, Shawna Weston, Christa Weston, and great-grandchildren Richard Holland, Ryan Holland Emily Holland, Kailey, Alayna, Megan, Joshua, Daniel and Michael Davis. She is preceded in death by her parents Frederick Brandenberger and Irma Irene Keady, brother Harry Brandenberger, granddaughter Sarah Weston and great grandson Connor Davis.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, July 15th at Draper Mortuary and Services will be held at 11:00 am July 16th at Draper Mortuary. Interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario.
