Carroll J. "Carl" Blier, 95, of Nashua, NH passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Langdon Place in Nashua, NH. He was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Ouellette) Blier.
Carl was a graduate of Nashua Business School and Northeastern University. He was the owner and founder of C.J.B. Associates, and a member of NH Purchasing Association and Purchasing Management of Boston. Carl also was very active in the Nashua community. He was a member of the Nashua Rotary Club for 30 years, earning a perfect attendance award, as well as the past President of Junior Achievement, the past President of North Little League, and the past President of Holy Name Society. He was an honorary member of Catholic War Veterans Post 1406, and he served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister for 25 years at St. Peter's Chapel in ME and for 35 years at St. Louis Church in Nashua. He also served on the parish council and the cemetery committee at St. Louis Church.
Carl is predeceased by his wife, Lillian (LaRoche) Blier; a daughter, Dorothy Blier; five brothers, Aurelle, Albert, Rudolph, Joseph and Donat Blier; and two sisters, Catherine Blouin and Bertha Bergeron.
He is survived by a son, Carl Blier, and his wife Edna of TN; two brothers, Roland Blier of CT and Gerald Blier of ME; four sisters, Cecile Bouchard of ME, Sr. Anita Blier of Canada, Geralda Boutot of CT and Laurette Fournier of ME; two granddaughters, Wendy Blier and Holly Stilo of GA; a great grandson, Dominic Stilo, of GA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling Hours were held on Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 2 PM to 4 PM at St. Laurent Funeral Home,116 Elm Street, Nashua, NH 03060. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 10 AM at St Louis De Gonzague Parish in Nashua. Burial followed at St. Louis Cemetery in Nashua. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Louis De Gonzague Parish, 48 W. Hollis St, Nashua, NH 03060.
