Catherine Sanders Abernathy, 37, went to Heaven on Friday, July 23, 2010.
Visitation will be from 9-11am Monday, July 26, with service at 11:00 am in the chapel of Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home of Pearl.
Cathy was a graduate of Pearl High School where she played saxophone for
the Pearl Pirate Band. She graduated from Miss Gulf Coast Community College with a degree in Medical Office Management. She worked in several medical offices in Biloxi and Flowood.
She is survived by her mother, Carol Smith and husband William B. Smith;
father, Rodney L. Sanders and wife Jean of Ludlow; sister, Jennifer Sanders Moore
and husband Jeremy of Flowood, niece, Carolyn Jane Moore; grandfather, Clifford Cobb of Pearl and grandmother, Tawanda Sanders of Clarksdale.
Cathy is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sarah Alice Adams, grandmother, Dorothy Cobb and grandfather, Leo Sanders.
The family would like to thank the staff of Pleasant Hills Community Living for their dedicated care of Cathy the past two years.
Because of Cathy's life-long love of all children, the family requests that memorials be sent to Blair E Batson Hospital for Children.
