Catherine Haiflich, 86 of Roanoke passed away at 5:02 P.M. on Friday April 27, 2012 at Kingston Healthcare in Ft. Wayne. She was a graduate of Wheatin IL High School, and worked at the Weather Head Division of Dana in Columbia City. Catherine had attended Pleasant Chapel Church in Roanoke.
Mrs. Haiflich was born on July 15, 1925 in Huntington County a daughter of Weldon E. and Vesta P. (Rupert) Bennett.
She was united in marriage to Richard D. Haiflich on December 22, 1943 in Ft. Wayne Indiana.
Survivors include five sons: Richard D. Haiflich of Columbia City, Edward Weldon Haiflich of Ossian, Brian E. Haiflich of Ft. Wayne, Donald G. Haiflich of Ft. Wayne, and Robert James Haiflich of Kennesaw Georgia; One daughter Mrs. Terry (Sharon) Lesh of Roanoke; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard D. Haiflich on April 1, 1999.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made out to the American Parkinson's Disease Association in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
