Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2012. She was born on July 1st, 1927, to Martin and Marie Indaburu in Bussunaritz, France. She was the third of six children. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Dominic Mendiondo, also from Bussunaritz. Together they raised two children. Catherine spent her entire life in Ontario where she and her husband had a dairy business for many years. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, sewing, and knitting.
Catherine is survived by her daughters Marie Bernadette Mendiondo and Suzanne Marie (Dominic) Etcheberria and five grandchildren (John Joseph, Cattaline, Dominic II, Renee, and Peter). She also leaves behind her sister, Marianna Pebet (Pleasanton) and her family, Pierre Indaburu (France) and his family, sister-in-law Marie Jeanne Indaburu (Chino) and her family, nephew Jean Michel Indaburu (Chino) and his family, and niece Linda Iriart (Rancho Cucamonga) and her family.
Visitation will be held at Draper Mortuary on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary immediately to follow. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Ontario.
