Celia C. Cumpian born on September 1, 1939 in Egypt, Texas, passed away at her home surrounded by family, on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the age of 73, in Houston, TX; She is preceded in death by her parents Lebrado and Rosa Castillo, her husband Benjamin J. Cumpian, an infant son Joe Angel and two brothers Jessie and Lee Castillo. Celia is survived by her loving family; her son Jose (Wally) Cumpian and his wife Elena; grandchildren, Sgt. Jose Cumpian Jr., USMC and his wife Renee, Michelle Lee Cumpian; great-grandchildren Michael and Noah Cumpian, Brothers, Joe Castillo and wife Manuela, Antonio Castillo, Manuel Castillo; Sisters, Eloise Rodriguez and husband Albert, Fidela Boone and husband Robert, Amelia Gonzales and husband Alfonso, Mary Castillo, Theresa Reyes and husband Lupe, numerous relatives and a host of friends.
The family would like to give a special Thanks to Cody Pyle (RN) and Callie Moore (CNA) from Harbor Hospice/Baytown for all your loving care.
Visitation will be held from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday December 04, 2012, at Funeraria Del Angel 6330 Gulf Fwy, Houston, TX 77023, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Resurrection Catholic Church 915 Zoe, Houston, TX 77020, (713) 675-5333 on Wednesday, December 05, 2012 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow held at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org
