Mr. Alexander, 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday the 9th of October in Eustis, Florida. Don, born December 5, 1930 to Charles and Jessie Alexander, was a lifelong resident of Charlotte where he graduated from Central High in 1950. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served honorable for four years during the Korean War. Don worked in the automobile industry in Charlotte for over 30 years before his retirement.

Dad had a love and passion for the outdoors where he spent most of his free time quail and pheasant hunting behind his beloved birddogs.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Dick Devault of Maryland; two children, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Nikki Alexander of Sanford, Florida, and daughter, Leslie Davis of Lake Worth, Florida; six grandchildren, Rhodes, Graham and Greer Worthington of San Diego, CA, Ashton Alexander of San Francisco, CA, and Alexander and Austin Davis of Lake Worth, Florida.

Dad was loved and will be missed by family and friends alike.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 18, at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC.
