Charles Raymond Clark, 72, of Tollesboro, KY died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Mr. Clark was a retired self employed truck driver, a Kentucky Colonel, had retired from Wald Mfg. Company and at one time served as Fire Chief for the Tollesboro Fire Department. He was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on May 9, 1941 the son of the late Willard James Clark and Gladys Monroe Clark Ginn. He is survived by his wife, Rayna Scott Clark; three daughters, Pamela Smith (Carmen) and Tena Carrington (Harry) both of Vanceburg, KY and Beverly Taylor (Lloyd) of Flemingsburg; five step-children, Missy Scott (Mick) and Angie Prater both of Wallingford, Amie Blake, Andrew Blake and Timothy S. Hord all of Maysville, KY; sixteen grandchildren; four great-granchildren; two sisters, Mary Thurman of Tollesboro, KY and Violet Highfield of Ribolt, KY; a special nephew and niece, Bobby and Donna Thurman of Tollesboro, KY and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Timothy Cooper. Funeral services for Charles R. Clark will be held at the Hickory Grove Church at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2014 with Rev. David Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in the Canaan Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Taylor, Charles Smith, Jimmy Thurman, Bobby Pollitt, Darrell Fannin, Josh Hehner, Mick Scott and Larry Erskine. Honorary pallbearers will be Gib Dixon, Alan Bane, Bob Bane, Tom Wilson, Todd Wilson, Chuck Bennett and Wendall Ray Applegate. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 5 PM until 8 PM. Arrangements under the direction of Barbour & Son Funeral Home, Tollesboro, Kentucky.
