Charles H. "Chuck" Lankheit, age 69, a native of Charleston, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in a local hospital.
Chuck was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University (Cape Girardeau, Missouri) with a BS in Education. He served in the United States Army, National Guard and Reserves and retired with the rank of Major. He was Regional Claims Manager for Atlantic Insurance Companies and was a Master Gardener who served on the State Board of Master Gardeners of Missouri.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marcella Lankheit and his sister, Donna Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Rose Mosley Lankheit; daughter, Annette Petrilli and her husband, Richard; step-sons, Joey Mosley (Tara), Daron Mosley (Terri) and his beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Marietta Cochran (Jerry), Millie De Pyper (Robert) and Norma Cook (Larry); four brothers, Dan Lankheit (Connie), Cliff Lankheit (Melanie), Larry Lankheit (Karen), and Al Lankheit (Marsha); numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Our Savior Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
