Mr. Charles William Teseneer, 85, of 276 Old Airport Road, Statesville, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Davis Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 6, 1927, in Rutherford County and was the son of the late Columbus Mills and Sarah Lentz Teseneer. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and also served in the Army (Airborne). He was a former District Director of Farmers Home Administration. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and enjoyed gardening, flowers, watching animals and helping people.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Jones Teseneer, whom he married on March 25, 1962; a son: Chuck (Rebecca) Teseneer of Efland, NC; a granddaughter, Rachel Teseneer; and a sister, Ennis Jones of Morganton.
Funeral services will he held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2013, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens with full military honors accorded by the Iredell County Veterans Council Burial Detail.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM Thursday afternoon at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
