Cheryl "Chuckie" L. Oehldrich, 62, of Sheboygan went to be with the Lord with her family by her side after a short battle with cancer on Saturday, April 13th, 2013.
Chuckie was born September 19, 1950 in Sheboygan, WI to Anton and Mildred (Richter) Hlinak.
Chuckie attended Ss. Cyril and Methodius Grade School and graduated from South High School, Class of 1969.
On May 18, 1974, Chuckie and Richard "Dick" Oehldrich were united in marriage at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Together they had three beautiful children.
For over 20 years she worked in the Sheboygan School Area District as an Educational Aide where she worked at various elementary schools. Throughout the years, Chuckie made many friends while trying to make a difference in the lives of others.
Chuckie adored her family above all other hobbies or interests. She would involve herself in their activities whether aiding in their classrooms in school, den mothering for Cub Scouts, troop leader for Girl Scouts, sitting in the bleachers cheering them on at their sporting events, or sewing costumes, Girl Scout patches, mending holes, etc. During her early years, she enjoyed participating in the Buccaneers program and later going for long drives with Dick.
She is survived by her husband, Dick; three children, Greg (Amy) Oehldrich of Luling, LA, Gary (Molly) Oehldrich of Sheboygan, and Anne (Brett) Buchmann of Rhinelander, WI; eight grandchildren, Nathan Brevelle and Claire Oehldrich, Alex, Ali and Paige Oehldrich, Cami, Hailey and Libbey Buchmann; four sisters, Mary Hartmann, Lynn Hlinak, Debba Hlinak, Lori (Bob) Reischl; a brother, Tony (Marilyn) Hlinak; and other family and friends.
Chuckie was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Mildred Hlinak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Paul Fliss and Rev. Richard J. Cerpich will be concelebrants. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and at the church Thursday morning from 10 am until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Greendale Cemetery.
Chuckie touched every life with which she came into contact and forever will be missed. She spent her life being a loving, supportive wife, mother, and nana.
