Cheryl S. Ambler of Lebanon entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from natural causes. She was the wife of Thomas R. Ambler of Lebanon.
Born in Lebanon on August 28, 1950, she was the daughter of Marilyn Reinoehl Hummel of Lebanon and the late Richard J. Hummel.
She retired after 22 years of service for the H.B. Reese Candy Company, Hershey.
She was a 1968 graduate of Cedar Crest High School, and a member of Zion United Methodist Church of Iona where she was an active member of the choir. Cheryl was loved by everyone that knew her and her family was the absolute light of her life. She enjoyed annual summer vacations to Ocean City, MD and hosting her famous Labor Day corn/clam bake and Christmas Eve parties.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 children, Janelle Fulk, companion of Victor Corcino, Mt. Gretna, PA, Jason, husband of Jennifer Ambler, Carlisle, PA and Laura Ambler, fiancé of Alan Jaques, Scotland, PA; 5 grandchildren Brandon and Bradley Fulk, Logan and Lucas Jaques and Clarissa Ambler; one sister Marilyn Zuza, Kansas City, MO; one brother, Thomas Hummel, Orlando, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 3 brothers, Richard G. Hummel, Garrick R. Hummel, and David Hummel.
Funeral services Monday at 2 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church of Iona, 1920 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon, internment in the adjoining church cemetery to follow ceremony. Viewing hours from 1-2 prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church of Iona, 1920 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon 17042.
