Cheryl Dee (Carpenter) Burris passed away early on January 28th. She was born on April 25th, 1952 to Donald and Geneva Carpenter in Zanesville, Ohio. Cheryl was a 1970 graduate of Edgewood High School in Ellettsville, Indiana. She made Nashville her home in the early 1990's, and remained here, enjoying her work at the Brown County Inn.
Cheryl is survived by her mother -Geneva Carpenter, two brothers -Scott (and Beth) Carpenter of Ellettsville, and Steve Carpenter of Barnesville, Ohio, a sister-Carla (and Steve) Ward of Barnesville, Ohio, and two children-Jimmy (and Michele) Harlow of Dowagiac, Michigan and Tracie (and Paul) Tatro of Angola, Indiana as well as several grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the Town Hall room of the Brown County Inn on Friday, February 1st, at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, any donations may be given directly to the family.
