Chivana Marie Alfaro was born in Heppenheim Germany on July 28, 1947 and moved to the United States with her parents at the age of 3.
As an adult Chivana drove a bus for Aldine ISD for many years, then went on the become an LVN. Chivana was a Hospice caregiver in Colorado County until she became ill and was no longer able to provide service.
After a long and hard battle with Hepatitus C and Cancer she was taken by the Lord on March 24, 2012 at the young age of 64.
Chivana is survived by her husband of 38 years Gilberto Alfaro and 4 sisters Anna Reinemuth, Erika Antes and husband Antonio, Maria Emmler and husband Erich, Milka "Mollie" Conner; as well as 6 children Alonzo Rodriguez and wife Amanda, Mary Vela and Chris Hernandez, Mark A. Rodriguez, Victoria R. Navarro and husband Roy,Sr., Matias Rodriguez and wife Talisa, Chivana Y. Hammond and husband Thomas. 14 grandchildren Jessica, Jeremy, John, Melissa, Roy, Jr., Victoria, Michael, Tiffany, Donavan, Conhnley, Sierra, Rieley, Morgan and Andrew; and 3 great grandchildren Belial, Cole, Nickolas and one great grandchild on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cvetko and Magdalena Rutz Nikolic, and one brother, Andreas Mischler. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.
