McHenry-Christopher M. Adamczyk, 41, of McHenry passed away September 12, 2011, at his home.
He was born August 12, 1970, in Park Ridge to Stanley and Rita (Stupp) Adamczyk. On July 20, 2002, he married Jane H. O'Malley in McHenry.
Chris served in the United States Navy from 1992-1996, he was very proud of being a veteran.
Raised in Mt. Prospect, he graduated from Elk Grove High School and following his time in the Navy he graduated from Southern Illinois University. He was employed as a biomedical engineer for 8 years at Marquette GE Medical Systems. He had a brilliant mind, was witty and had a happy-go-lucky attitude. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, and fishing. He loved animals and had a special place in his heart for his dog, Heidi.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; his parents, Stanley and Rita; his brothers, Daniel (Jamie) Adamczyk and Joseph (Jaylene) Adamczyk; his sisters-in-law, Joyce, Marlene, and Mary Ann O'Malley; his brothers-in-law, Paul (Deb), John (Beth), Tom (Karla), and Jim (Karen) O' Malley; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8pm on Sunday, September 18, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. A rosary will be said at 2pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, September 19, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 27551 Volo Village Road, Volo, Illinois.
Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
